What Do You Have

Lately, as I have been praying for God to move on behalf of my family, I’ve been directed to several Bible passages that have a common theme: evaluate what you have.
2 Kings 4:1-7-Elisha and the Widow’s Oil and Exodus 4:1-5- The Lord’s question to Moses
“Lord, I have an extra vehicle. Is this a seed you want me to sow? If so, who should I give my car?”
I didn’t talk to anyone about what I was pondering doing, I just kept praying about it.
A few days ago, I was on the phone with my sister, Mary Ann. She was telling me about her friend, Dell, a prayer warrior who has been specially praying for Mary Ann and me. Yay!!!!!! I love it when someone is praying for me, especially if it is someone like Dell who I have never met. Mary Ann continued to tell me about Dell and how badly she needed a car. I was so excited to tell Mary Ann that I was praying about someone to give my car.
I still needed to talk to my husband about sowing the seed. The title of the car was actually in Carl’s name so I prayed that if it was what God wanted me to do Carl would be in agreement. I explained to Carl what I wanted to do. He said only one word, “Absolutely.”
I was so excited to sow this seed. I drove two hours to get the car from the shop where I was having some warranty work done, washed it and cleaned it like I had never done before. Then I drove the car another 3 ½ hours to Dell’s house to deliver the gift to her.
The excitement I felt increased as I cleaned and drove this vehicle. Why? Because I know who my God is! I know he can do greater things than I can even imagine.
2 Corinthians 9:6 “Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.”
If you are like me and need God to move what seems to be a mountain, ask him to show you what you have to give.
